Brewers outfielder Curtis Granderson didn't leave it all out on the field during Game 5. Instead, he left part of his tooth inside his lower lip.
Granderson chipped his tooth while sliding into second base. His helmet fell off his head during the slide and bounced back into his mouth.
On Instagram, Granderson said he woke up with the chipped tooth, though not as bad as Ed Helms' character in 'The Hangover' movies.
"I woke up with a little chipped tooth, but not as bad as @edhelms in the Hangover. Cheesin’ hard for game 6 tomorrow!" he wrote.
On Twitter, Granderson also thanked his dentist for fixing him up, adding his tooth, "was in my lip and not on the field."
Just like new, before & after. Big thanks to Doc Mykleby and his team for fixing me up. Also an update, the chipped tooth was in my lip and not on the field 😬Now, back to work. Let’s go @brewers! pic.twitter.com/NMYrNnMkQi
