The Milwaukee Brewers' newest shortstop is heading to the injury list, giving Milwaukee's perceived shortstop of the future another chance to excel at the Major League level after a slow start to 2018.
The Brewers announced that they have sent Tyler Saladino to the 10-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle. They have called up Orlando Arcia after a short stint at AAA Colorado Springs.
Arcia averaged just .194 with a .506 OPS, 2 home runs, 13 RBI and more strikeouts (34) than hits (27).
Saladino came to the Brewers from the Chicago White Sox. He has played 15 games wiht a .324 average and a .981 OPS, three home runs and eight RBI.
