One of the Milwaukee Brewers' top offensive weapons will be on the disabled list for more than a week.

The Brewers are placing Lorenzo Cain on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to July 24, after a left groin strain.

The team is calling up fellow outfielder Keon Broxton to take up the roster spot.

Cain has a .291 average, an .832 OPS, 8 home runs, 26 RBI, 16 stolen bases and 48 total runs this year.

This will be Broxton's first action this year at the major league level. He has two years and 218 games of experience with the Brewers in 2016-17.
