Brewers gear in high demand ahead of NLCS Game 1

Posted

MILWAUKEE -- It's a big day for the Brew Crew and also businesses supporting the team. A local print shop in St. Francis is working around the clock to push out new merch —while at Miller Park tees are already flying off the shelves.

“Just pray and hope for the best," Dennis Vanderschaegen.

The Brewers face off against the Dodgers tonight in game one of the National League Championship Series.

“Every game’s exciting especially now we get all these extra games for the postseason,” Vanderschaegen said.

The team returns to Miller Park for the first time since sweeping the Rockies 3-0 in the national league division series —and although some people call the Brewers underdogs Vanderschaegen said every dog has its day and his fingers are crossed for a Brewers win.

“Underdogs? My god. Yeah, the Dodgers are a great team, they had a great year, but we’re right up there with them too or else we wouldn’t be here right now," Vanderschaegen said.

Down the road in St. Francis — Whitney Teska and his crew at Orchard Street Press are busy printing new game day tees for purchase at Woodman's Markets.

“[It's] huge. It’s the advantage of being in the city that everything is happening in,” Teska said.

Partnering with fans only LLC —the brains behind the design —Teska said when the brewers win he and many other local businesses knock it out the park right alongside them.

Gates open at 4:40p, first pitch is at 7:09p.
