MILWAUKEE — Brats, Brewers and Bernie. Spring has finally arrived just in time for the Brewers home opener.

"I've been here when it's snowing so this is way better," said Greg Winn, who was cooking brats on his grill for the first time this year.

"It's the nicest day we've had in years," said Holly Kowalski, who brought her two kids to their first opening day.

"This is a fun day we look forward to ever since the season ended last year," said Jim Peterson, who organizes a tailgate for three dozen people.

Tailgating on Opening Day is tradition for Brewers fans.

Greg Winn said he started when he was a teenager. Now he brings his adult sons.

"They enjoy it," said Winn. "They keep me young so it's really wonderful."

Jim Becker just started bringing his son Brady.

"We love baseball. We talk baseball every single day," he said.

"I like being here with my dad because he got me into baseball," said Brady.
