Brewers announce special promotions in celebration of 50th season

MILWAUKEE — 2020 marks the 50th season of Brewers baseball and to celebrate, they have announced five decade celebrations and more for this upcoming season!

The Brewers have added even more promotions and experiences to their season in order to celebrate 50 years of Brewers baseball.

First there's the bobblehead giveaways. This is an annual promotion with the bobbleheads changing ever year. This year, the featured players are Hank Aaron, Paul Molitor, Robin Yount, Ben Sheets, Ryan Braun, Lorenzo Cain, Bob Uecker and two nights featuring Christian Yelich.

In addition to the annual bobbleheads giveaways, the Brewers will be hosting five decade weekends.

According to a press release, each weekend will feature themed music and entertainment from that decade. The decades are 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s.

The weekend celebrations consist of a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday game with throwback jersey's to be worn during the Saturday games. Additionally, the celebratory weekends will feature appearances by Brewers alumni.

The Brewers also plan to host a 50th anniversary celebration on June 25 and 26. On the 25, a private event will be held to benefit the Brewers Community Foundation. The celebration will honor current and former Brewers who have had a positive impact on the Milwaukee community.

On the 26, there will be a pre-game ceremony honoring the 66 Brewers hall of fame inductees, with all of them invited to attend. The first 10,000 fans will also receive a 50th Anniversary T-shirt.
