If you fill out a bracket for the NCAA Tournament, it's inevitable.

Games are going on during a Thursday or Friday afternoon and your eyes and attention peer away from your tasks and toward that last-second possession that could give you the lead in your office bracket pool.

Business consultant John Opincar says that costs us productivity.

"This is a subject that comes up every year. Some people say 'Why do we talk about this every year?' " said Opincar on WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Afternoon News."

He says the reason stems from "our ethical intelligence, that little voice that says 'Maybe you ought not to watch this ball game at work.' "

But, he admits much of it comes down to the work culture in your office.

"It's a cultural thing. It depends on the culture of the organization," he said.

"I think that people who do get involved in this should be thankful for the lunch, because it's not free."
