Walk to School Day began 22 years ago as a way to encourage families to get active and leave the car at home for a day. The Wisconsin Bike Fed has partnered with Milwaukee Public Schools for 13 years to put on events and support schools in their efforts to meet health and wellness goals. Walking, biking, and scooting are all encouraged forms of transportation to celebrate! Joining us with details on how you can take part is Jake Newborn, Assistant Director of the Wisconsin Bike Fed.
International Walk to School Day is happening Wednesday, October 2, but you can celebrate any day! For more information, visit WalkBikeToSchool.org. And for more information on the Wisconsin Bike Fed, visit WisconsinBikeFed.org.
