The second annual State of Wisconsin Girls Summit will take place virtually this weekend. Alverno College is once again providing an opportunity for girls, community leaders, agencies that serve girls and the general public to come together and celebrate contributions girls make in the community.
This year's event focuses on civic leadership and will feature keynote speaker Mari Copeny-- known for her activism around the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Her leadership and action is inspiring to many young women around the country, and perfectly captures the spirit of the Girls Summit. We are joined by Jodi Eastberg to talk about Alverno College's Girls Summit and why it is important to hear from women themselves about today's pressing issues.
