OZAUKEE COUNTY — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injures Monday night after he was hit by a semi-truck on I-43.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff says a man pulled over his Jeep with Illinois plates in the shoulder of I-43 southbound.
The 54-year-old Illinois resident then walked into the truck’s lane and was hit by the truck.
He was taken to Froedtert Hospital by Flight for Life.
The semi-truck driver was not injured in the crash.
The crash closed I-43 southbound for two hours. The interstate has since reopened.
