Posted
and last updated

Robocalls are becoming a real-life problem in the era of smartphones.

In April alone, almost 20 million robocalls were made in Milwaukee.

TODAY’S TMJ4 decided to take a closer look at where these calls come from, and why they’re so relentless.

We’ll look at the science of robocalls, and how callers can set up a computer to dial 10,000 numbers a second.

We will also break down some common myths about robocalls, while looking at the legality of them.

Finally, we tackle spoof calling, or making a robocall look like it's coming from one of your loved ones.

Follow along all day Tuesday as we wage war on robocalls on TODAY’S TMJ4 and tmj4.com.
