MILWAUKEE — The staff at Uncle Buck's in Milwaukee is stacking the bar and getting things ready for the re-ope. Like most of his peers, longtime business owner Mike Vitucci wasn't ready for the pandemic.

"I came here and opened up in August of 2019 and we had big plans here," Vitucci says. "We did a renovation. Have three floors, a rooftop, outside Patio, as were sitting on the rooftop now with the beautiful view, and then, pow, you go from doing a hundred miles an hour to a standstill."
Located next to Fiserv Forum, Vitucci planned to capitalize on Bucks games, DNC events and other reserved parties at this rustic-style restaurant and sports bar. But that's all on hold as he does carry-out only for now.
"We're doing carry-outs. Well carry-outs just don't pay the bills," Vitucci admits. "Carry-out is a nice thing to keep your name relevant, keep you out there, and having people trying your food that typically wouldn't, but that's it."
