Tusk on North Ave is a very cozy intimate and craft cocktail bar that's only been in business for just under two years. They're really feeling the pinch because of the pandemic.
"Well it's hit this place a little harder because it's smaller, so it's harder to distance tables and still get an adequate amount of people in to make money," said owner Christine McRoberts. "The patio has been great but of course as everyone has noticed that we got a lot of rain lately, it's made it difficult to run our patios."
McRoberts gives a lot of praise to the community for their support when things were tight.
Christine "In this neighborhood, they have been phenomenal during the pandemic. Supporting this place with picking up to-go food and then one of the other things that we did besides creating food specials was we created drink specials," said McRoberts. "The city was very kind to allow us to give drinks to-go so we would make up different drinks every week."
The menu has plenty to choose from and they've got great drinks.
"Our chef made barbecue ribs. They are amazing...so that is new on our summer menu. We came up with a raspberry margarita with basil, homegrown basil it is delicious."
Tusk is open up Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and the recommendations here are the sausage board, the ribs, and the ramen bowl.
