Gordo Burger on the corner Lincoln and Howell is the new hot spot in Bay View that everyone is talking about.
Marwan Otallah, who owns it, opened his doors in early January, and he wouldn't let a pandemic stop him from his vision.
"So, the worst time ever to open a restaurant is now. It's doesn't matter if it's January or May, right now, no one is looking to do that, but again, because of the timing, it was available," said Otallah. "I think that this needs to be here, for Bay View. I think every neighborhood needs to have a great burger place, so people can go and enjoy themselves."

What's really working for Otallah is his burger combination, which is a premium patty that gets delivered daily.
"Right now, we're using a 50/50 blend, 50 Chuck and 50 Brisket, so that's a nice blend, were the only ones getting that, made for us every day, it gets delivered, never frozen," said Otallah. "We get our bakery from Sciortino's, so everything comes daily, so we are only having fresh products when we're out, we're out."
They've been selling out on some days because their customers love their food. They have 10 specialty burgers, along with vegetarian options, or you can just build your own.
"We also wanted a plant-based burger patty, so we have the impossible patty we make it here I mean we patty it here and it's a half-pounder. We also have a falafel, so two great veggie options, for the people in the neighborhood," said Otallah.
Another popular burger he has is the big swiss, which has mushrooms and caramelized onions on it. Otallah believes in his product some much, that he's backing it up, with his own personal guarantee.
"It's the best burger in Bay View, guess what, in Milwaukee, in general, come and try it, if you don't like it, you can get your money back," said Otallah.
