MILWAUKEE — "It has been really tough because with this pandemic, things are getting started slow and we are not doing as well as before," says Shahrazad owner Mohammed Khatibi.
That was a big understatement coming from Mohammed who's owned this Persian & Middle Eastern Restaurant the past 26 years. He's lost eight percent of his business since the pandemic hit.

"It's pretty sad and it's hard to deal with all of this stuff that's coming in as far as the bills go," he admits. "And none of those are changing but the sales have dropped so bad."
But he continues to carry on with the combination of food that he offers here on Oakland Avenue.
"We offer two different types of menus," he explains. "One of them is Persian and the other one is Middle Eastern. We do have a variety of different kinds of meat dishes and vegetarian and vegan dishes also."
"Lamb Shank is one of our signatures that everyone loves and the kababs. We have different kinds of Persian kababs. One of the famous ones is Kabab Koubideh."
