PEWAUKEE — The co-owner of a Pewaukee business says they just threw about $250,000 into remodeling their Hop Harvest & Vine restaurant. It is attached to their grocery store Good Harvest Market.

Co-owner Joe Nolan shares why his faith in our community, and spending 25 years as a financial adviser, prepared him for this moment, “I always knew that if you didn’t invest in your business when it's tough, then eventually you were going to be going downhill.”

He believes his health-conscious grocery store attached to the same building helped them make this leap of faith, “I would say the majority of restaurants would not have made this change.”

He’s hoping the COVID-19 vaccine rollout will help the business flourish along with the remodel.

This includes a more intimate public market feel for breakfast and lunch, located off Silvernail Road in Pewaukee.

Nolan showed us their new built-in bar space with local brews on tap, “Once we get out of the pandemic people are going to let loose and look for places exactly like this.”

A new Juice bar and re-imagined dinner menu available Tuesdays - Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It was created by a newly hired chef who moved to the Badger State from New Orleans, “He brought some of that creole flavor.”

And there are unique pizzas that have been created. One is called “Vine” which includes sweet grapes mixed in with a spicy sauce.

After a good meal, Nolan’s hope is for customers to shop in their connected grocery store, Good Harvest Market, “Everything else throughout the store we wanted to be as close as organic as we can be.”
