GRAFTON — Mike Stoner has owned the Milwaukee Ale House in Grafton for nine-plus years. He, like many other owners, has been deeply touched by the outpouring of community support that he's gotten through this Global Pandemic

"I broke down a couple of times, I still do," Stoner admits. "It's hard. The people that come in here are loyal and they mean something and I try to provide what they're looking for."

As heartwarming as he was with us, Mike continues to put his customers and his employees first as they bounce back.

"I still need to stay focused," he says. "I also have to take care of my employees. I have over one hundred so I feel responsible for their income and I want to make sure that we're not going to disappear. They still have health insurance. We've kept it going, we haven't had to stop it."

This Ale House is gorgeous with a lot to offer. You can rent out the second level for parties and we can't forget about the food and beer.

"Beer is our signature if you want to call it that," explains Stoner. "We've got great MKE beers but we've also expanded that lineup. I've got stuff from 3 Floyd's (Brewpub), I've got WarPigs, all kinds of fantastic beers that are available. The Ale House cheeseburgers are always going to get you. That's what we do the best. We do a lot of things well but cheeseburgers sell more than anything."

In addition to the Ale House burgers, Stoner says the cheese curds are among the most popular items on the menu.
