MILWAUKEE — Tucked away on the first floor inside the old Pabst bottling building, you'll find Coaches on the first floor. They're serving soul food and American cuisine.
"We were looking for a place to bring some southern food to the downtown area," says owner Charles Fowlkes. "So when this one came available, we took advantage and I've been here for a year now."

They, like many other restaurants, are suffering during this pandemic stretch.
"It definitely affected things a lot," he admits. "If you look around we used to have tables and chairs out here where people could come up and actually get their food and sit down and enjoy it. Now, I have asked everybody to stand six feet away from each other, so they come in and get their drinks, they get their food, and they're out the door. It works out for us though. It's keeping us at least relevant."
