For the past 13 years, Candy Bouquet has been putting a sweet twist on a classic gift.

"The sky's the limit. We can pretty much do whatever request comes our way," says Scott Rondeau, owner of the local Wawautosa candy business.

From sugar-free to rich dark chocolate, Scott and his family can arrange different candies into one delicious treat.

"When someone receives a candy bouquet, the look on people's faces, even behind their mask is surprised. It delights them, it makes them feel good that someone cared enough to send them a candy bouquet. Like our tagline says, have a sweet day. We make every day a sweet day with our candy bouquets, so it's a happy item," says Scott.

But that doesn't mean every day has been a walk down candy cane lane.

"The community and our current customer base have been wonderful, thank goodness for them. But it's been tough because when you are selling something that people don't have to have to survive on every day it makes things difficult," says Scott.

Luckily for Scott and those with a sweet tooth, Candy Bouquet has been able to make the most of its online presence.

"Even though the business has been down, our online business has increased. We can work from home and can still fill any candy bouquet needs even though we aren't in store as often as we would be if life was normal," says Scott.

Working from home, Scott, his mother, and sister aren't letting the pandemic get the best of them. Even if that means the home office becomes permanent.

"We love this business, my family and we want to keep making every day a sweet day and we can do that from home or a smaller location," says Scott.

The next time you need to send some sugar someone's way, check out Candy Bouquet.
