WEST ALLIS — Big Deal Burgers & Custard in West Allis has been around seven years and, all things considered, business has been pretty good during this pandemic.

"It's very weird not having people lined up, sitting around to have that sound of people enjoying themselves," general manager Rick Lewis said. "But its been very rewarding with the number of people that come through the drive-thru and when you think about it, they have to sit there and wait because we make it to order."
Rick is very particular about how they prepare the food.
"We do our burgers. We do our custard. We're going at it, and we stay with it," he said. "We do try and keep up with the Jones's, with new sandwiches or anything else that way. I would have to say our Island Burger is a very big seller and the reason is that it's got everything on it. I hate to say it, but what a Big Mac does we do it better."
