How can you help? Buy a gift card or a t-shirt. This year, the family business is celebrating 50 seasons of serving frozen treats and more. Dealing with a pandemic is not how Janik wanted to be celebrating that milestone. She said not being able to connect with customers as she did before is heartbreaking.
"That's a big thing to me," she continued. It is very hard. I'm such a social person, and to not be able to talk to my customers, have a conversation with them, you know, everything is through the window. It's hard. It's very hard.'
Janik said many customers want frozen treats, but their buying habits are different now.
"Like quarts and pints, people are buying. People are buying ice cream bars and ice cream sandwiches, and we have them in bundles," she said.
Janik wants everyone to know, her business is open, and her family is ready to serve southeast Wisconsin.
"We do our best. We do whatever we possibly can," she said.
"We appreciate everybody. We would like to say thank you very much."
During the spring season, Lee's Dairy Treat is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Make sure you call to place an order or visit their website.
