WEST ALLIS — Baseball is back, and while Milwaukee Brewers fans can't cheer at Miller Park just yet, what they can do is check out one of the newest bars in West Allis.
"We intended to open somewhere around the end of March, earlier April, but then as the quarantine and shutdown happened we ended up opening June 8," said Taylor Rusniak, managing partner at The Crooked Crow, said.

Pushing back the opening of their new business gave Taylor and his other partners time to put finishing touches on The Crooked Crow.
"We had some more time to think about what we wanted to do with the building," Rusniak said.
It also allowed the cook to perfect the bar's made from scratch menu.
"Cheese curds 100 percent from scratch. They're really good. Our burgers are all fresh and good portions. We have a bunch of in house sauces that we make, our wings are phenomenal. So, what you would kinda expect from bar food, but we do it the right way," Rusniak said.
The Crooked Crow may be new to the area, but the community is treating the business like an old friend.
"We definitely got some regular clients that come in and they all know each other, so that's cool too see," Rusniak said.
Having live sports back on TV is also helping people who want a change of scenery to come in.
"It has helped, and it's funny because we can all kinda gather around and talk about how weird it is watching the sports. But, yeah, just kind of a sense of community even if you're yelling at the person 20-feet at the end of the bar. So it's cool to have it back," Rusniak said.
If you're craving some great food but rather enjoy it at home, The Crooked Crow does offer carryout.
