MILWAUKEE — On 37th street in Milwaukee, it doesn't matter what day of the week it is. Opened Monday through Saturday, there's a special going on at McKiernan's Irish Pub and a seat waiting for you.
"We've been lucky and blessed. I appreciate and thank all of our customers because if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here," says Victoria McKiernan, owner of the pub.

Around for 11 years, McKiernan's is a staple in this Milwaukee neighborhood.
"It is a small little neighborhood bar. We get people from the neighborhood, we also get people from our other businesses. So, it's just a nice well-rounded crowd here," says Victoria.
From Mexican cuisine on Monday to Tuesday mussels, and Wednesday Wings, Victoria promises a great meal whenever you stop by.
"Fridays, we always have our fish fries, from cod, perch, to grouper. Saturday's is a kind of open [day]. [On] Saturdays, everyone just comes in and just eats," says Victoria.
Staying closed until the end of May, McKiernan's enjoyed seeing familiar faces once they reopened.
"We did stay in touch with some of our regulars. However, there were a few people we haven't seen and it was great to see them walk through the door because we didn't know what has happened to them. It was just so nice to have them all come back in," says Victoria.
Also welcomed, customers who trickle back to catch a game.
"We are finally seeing people come on in to watch the game and have a couple of beers. Now we will see what happens, waiting for Packers season," says Victoria.
Currently closed on Sunday, once the NFL season gets underway, Victoria says they plan on keeping McKiernan's open seven days a week.
