MILWAUKEE — Stan's Fit for Your Feet is a third-generation shoe store that is really feeling the pinch because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"Stan's was founded in 1950 by my grandfather," says Director of Operations Andy Sajdak. "This is our 70th year here in Milwaukee. We're a proud Milwaukee locally-owned business. I'm in the business with my dad and also with three of my siblings."

In all, they have six stores under their umbrella, and they had to lay off sixty employees because of these tough times.
"We haven't closed a day in seventy years for anything really," recalls Andy. "I'm sure my grandfather would've thought this was totally crazy too, but we closed on March 18th for the safety of our employees and customers. I just think that there be this new normal right now. We shut down, but our online business has been going strong, so there we have our full listing of every shoe in this store."
