At Point After, the design is to be a friendly place.

“We wanted it to be Franklin’s version of 'Cheers,' where everybody knows your name,” Point After co-owner Mark Mastrostefano says.

Now it’s the complete opposite.

“I like to hug and talk to people. We can’t do that. It’s so quiet around here now,” Mastrostefano says.

They transitioned to carry out only when the state shut down, and they’re hurting.

“You know. It’s tough,” Mark Mastrostefano says.

But they know they’re not alone. Along with the Franklin Lions Club, they’re trying to cheer up local small business and restaurants with a little game of bingo.

“I saw Menomonee Falls had something similar and I asked if we could borrow it. We changed a few things. 23 restaurants. If you get five receipts you can win a gift card. It helps everyone out," said Franklin Lions Club President Doug Bertram.

“We will give you a coupon to come back and get free beer, wine or drink,” Mastrostefano says.
