WATERFORD — The pandemic has changed lives in so many ways. For Vana Lyon, it was finding her way out of an office and into the community.

"My background is actually in e-commerce, so I worked e-commerce of Fortune 500 companies managing their e-commerce sites," says Vana.

Wanting to help small businesses thrive, Main Street Mercantile opened in Waterford back in September.

"I just felt like it was really important to provide people with an opportunity to shop local and shop small instead of having to go to a big box store for gifts," says Vana.

Stocked with products from across America, Vana's store has helped keep small alive in Wisconsin and beyond.

"Everything in here has a story. So I have connected with each brand individually and brought in some of my favorite brands that I've found over the years," says Vana.

Surpassing expectations, the community has enjoyed the opportunity to shop multiple small businesses in one place. Turning Vana's store into a passion for her and customers.

"When they are reading the towels and laughing or reading the cards and laughing. I love that. I feel like I'm bringing a little bit of joy and happiness to people in a time when we need it," says Vana.

At Main Street Mercantile, you can shop online, curbside, or inside to discover the perfect treasure for your loved ones .... or yourself.
