MILWAUKEE — It's been a nice twenty-year run for the Holy Land Grocery and Deli store on Milwaukee's south side.

"We're famous for a lot of things although we're famous for our homemade hummus and falafel," says owner Ali Elhashash. "They're the bomb, and we've been in Milwaukee best fifty restaurants four times in a row. It's healthy, fresh, and served with passion."

Their Middle Eastern food is ranked among the best in town, and their grocery store's shelves are stocked with some of those specialty goods that are hard to find.

"We're one-stop shopping here for a lot of things," Elhashash says. "We've got our fresh meat department that offers fresh beef, lamb, goat, chicken breasts, and legs."
