PEWAUKEE — If you're looking for home-cooked food that you don't have to prepare yourself, check out The Machine Shed in Pewaukee.

They're known for their chicken pot pie, meatloaf, and bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin. But their best seller?

"Breakfast has been the biggest meal of the day. A lot of people love our cinnamon french toast which is a full cinnamon roll sliced into three and cooked like french toast," said manager Jamie Engel.

The Machine Shed closed for 9 weeks when the pandemic hit. They reopened last month, much to the excitement of employees and customers.

"We had a lot of phone calls asking if we were open," said Engel. "A lot of people wanted specific foods."

Now open for dine-in, The Machine Shed is taking all precautions to keep customers comfortable and safe.

"We have hand sanitizer stations, CDC-approved peroxide disinfectant to clean tables and surfaces throughout the restaurant," said Engel. "All commonly touched areas like door handles, bathrooms, and the front counter are cleaned and sanitized every hour."

They are also maintaining social distancing by seating people at every other table. The Machine Shed has four separate rooms to seat customers, ensuring everyone is spaced out appropriately.

The Machine Shed is open Sunday - Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and open until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
