When COVID-19 closed down the state back in March, Divino Gelato General Manager Bailey Metz, was in charge of shutting down safely.
"We pretty much took all the food out, so everything would not go to spoil. We took everything inside and made sure it was clean and ready to go for when we did reopen," says Bailey Metz, Gm at Divino Gelato.
Fast forward to May 1, when Divino Gelato began to reopen its four locations across the greater Milwaukee area. In Racine, Bailey welcomes customers back.

"I like interacting with other people, learning about other people, and their interest. That's one of the main things I missed when this all hit," says Bailey.
Yet, Bailey was a little surprised at how much customers missed them.
"They're super happy that we're back open. One lady started crying because she heard that we were back open," says Bailey.
While Divino Gelato does not require a mask to enter their establishments, they have added other safety measures.
"Mainly the plexiglass that needed to be put up and then making sure we are sanitizing tables every fifteen [minutes] to a half hour. Sanitizing the door handles, anything that the customer touches we have to sanitize right away," says Bailey.
So, whether you're in the mood for a scoop of gelato, boba tea, or a seat to enjoy your coffee Divino Gelato is open and ready to serve you.
