MILWAUKEE — Smack dab in the middle of Commerce Street stands Beerline Cafe, where they are serving up healthy food for the right price. Its name has some history to it.

"It's named after this Neighborhood right here," says owner Michael Allen. This was called the 'Beerline B' neighborhood because there used to be a railroad spur that was called the Beerline B because it brought in supplies to the breweries."

Beerline is known for its vegan and gluten-free options. Everything here is vegetarian. Micheal Allen, who has owned this restaurant for the past five years, explains why.

"Eating healthy is one of my core values," he says. "I wanted to make the food that I wanted to eat. There are not that many restaurants that are health-conscious."
