If you're looking for something fun to do with the family while practicing social distancing, check out 1st and Bowl in Wauwatosa. They've got football bowling and much more.

Opening in June of last year, co-owner Tim Johnson, watched football bowling take off in Wisconsin.

"It's very much like a tailgating game. Your objective is to knock down your opponent's pins before they knock down yours," explained Johnson.

Johnson was heartbroken when COVID-19 forced them to close down until further notice.

"We had worked so hard to get to the point of even opening the business last June and then working through growing the business for nine months. To have to close the doors all of a sudden was absolutely devastating to us," said Johnson.

But not even a pandemic could knock down these pins permanently.

Reopening at the end of May, 1st and Bowl sanitizes everything customers touch throughout their visit.

"We also have leagues on Thursday and that your playing with different groups of people., instead of just your family or friends. So in that case we sanitize after every game," said Johnson.

Knowing that in today's world it's hard to find places to enjoy company while social distancing, 1st and Bowl appreciates the community's support in reopening.

"It's just been so awesome to have that support from the community and people coming in here and giving their good reviews in person and online. It's just been really heartwarming to get that," said Johnson.

If you need a little more convincing to try out 1st and Bowl, $10 get you all-day access Tuesday through Sunday.
