With temperatures in the 80s and 90s, it's finally starting to feel like summer and it's all just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
The Brewers are playing all weekend. Cheer on the Brew Crew against the Mets Friday-Sunday, or spend the holiday booing the Cardinals and eating hot dogs for Dollar Dog Day on Monday. Plus, every attendee to Monday's game will receive one free ticket to Noah's Ark Waterpark.
The Division I men's and women's ultimate frisbee teams are competing in the 2018 College Championship Tournament from Friday-Monday at Uihlein Soccer Park. Enjoy being outside while watching the pros compete in this unique sport.
If you're looking to get in on the action yourself, visit the Wehr Nature Center on Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. for an Adult Scavenger Hunt. This adult-only hunt sends teams out on trails with a GPS to answer riddles, collect items and solve a puzzle to win points, prizes and alcoholic beverages. Tickets are $20 per person or $15 for friends of Wehr members. Adults must be 21-years or older to participate.
Earlier on Saturday is the Kick Off to Sailing Season with the S/V Dennis Sullivan. Guests will be able to explore the 19th century Great Lakes schooner replica and engage in deck tours and various maritime activities. Tickets for the entire sailing season will be on sale at the event. It's all at Discovery World from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Also on Saturday, the 7th Annual Heal The Hood MKE Bloc Party and Resource Fair is going on from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. The party is a celebration of Heal the Hood's seventh birthday. Heal the Hood is an organization committed to "healing the hearts, the homes and the hoods through words and actions" in Milwaukee. The event is at 3rd and E Chambers St. and will feature free food, giveaways, guest speakers, live music and more.
This is the last weekend of the Milwaukee Public Museum's special exhibition, Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed. This is the largest ancient Maya exhibition ever to be displayed in the U.S. Tickets are $25.
To get into the Memorial Day spirit head over to Menomonee Falls for a Memorial Day Parade. The parade starts on Main St. and heads west to Downtown Menomonee Falls and ends at Neu's parking lot. It takes place from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Black Husky Brewing is hosting a Memorial Day Potluck from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Bring something to put on the grill or just hang out!
Two events for foodies are happening on Memorial Day as well. Brat lovers head to Madison for Bratfest and everyone with a sweet tooth make your way to Burlington for Chocolatefest.
Lastly, Wood National Cemetery is holding a Memorial Day Ceremony to honor veterans in Milwaukee and across the U.S. The ceremony is from 9:25 a.m until 10:45 a.m.
