Celebrate St. Patrick's Day all month long
Posted

St. Patrick's Day technically isn't until March 17, but that doesn't mean the celebrations have to wait.

Miller Time Pub is hosting the ShamROCK Kick-Off Party Fri, March 9 from 5:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. The event includes live music from Ian Gould and Pat McCurdy as well as raffle prizes.

Keeping the St. Patrick's Day theme the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin's 52 Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Sat, March 10. The parade kicks off at 12 p.m. at 3rd and Wisconsin and finishes at Water and Highland. Over 140 units will be displayed.

Saturday is also Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Admirals Hockey Day at Discovery World. Boy scouts and girl scouts along with their families are invited to spend the day at Discovery World until 6 p.m. when they can take to the ice for the Teddy Bear Toss during the Admiral's game. The game starts at 6 p.m. and fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal to throw out onto the ice when the Admirals score their first goal. All teddy bears collected will be donated to local children's charities and organizations.

And on Sunday, March 10, the Kohl's Art Generation Family returns for Design Comes to Life. Families can visit the Milwaukee Art Museum for hands-on art activities, visiting artists, performances, tours and more. The event is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
