Spend any time in a school lunchroom and you would be shocked at the waste left behind.
So, McKinley Elementary in Wauwatosa is turning leftovers into compost.
In one year, they composted more than 10,000 pounds of waste. Now the school is getting recognized by the Department of Natural Resources.
