UPDATE: NFL determines Dallas Cowboy Ezekiel Elliott did not violate personal conduct policy at EDC

UPDATE JULY 3: The NFL says that there was no violation of the personal conduct policy by Dallas Cowboys' running back Ezekiel Elliott at the Electric Daisy Carnival in May.

Here is their statement:

Immediately following reports of an incident in Las Vegas in May involving Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys, the NFL conducted a comprehensive investigation that included interviews with multiple witnesses, including security personnel and others with direct involvement, as well as a review of documentary and other information.

On Tuesday, as part of the review, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with Mr. Elliott to reinforce the standards of conduct expected of him and the consequences for failing to meet those standards.

Mr. Elliott acknowledged that he demonstrated poor judgment and committed to make better choices in the future. He volunteered to take advantage of the resources available to help him continue to grow personally.

Commissioner Goodell determined there was no violation of the personal conduct policy and no further action is warranted.

Dallas Cowboys' running back Ezekiel Elliott was briefly detained this past weekend at the Electric Daisy Carnival at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

According to TMZ , it happened after Elliott got info a fight with his girlfriend early Saturday morning.

The video shows Elliott and his girlfriend talking to employees when Elliott used his body to back the employee up and then reportedly shoved him to the ground.

Las Vegas police officers put Elliott in handcuffs after the incident and escorted him from the scene.

Elliott's lawyer said that the employees overreacted and the running back was handcuffed as a precautionary measure. He was then released with no charges.

Las Vegas police provided the following information:

On Sunday, May 19, 2019 at approximately 3 a.m. LVMPD officers working at EDC observed from a distance an adult male, later identified as Elliott, push a security officer to the ground. Two officers approached and placed Elliott into handcuffs while they investigated the incident. The security guard who was the victim of the misdemeanor battery, refused to press charges and officers escorted Elliott a short distance away and he was released.

Elliott could still be disciplined by the NFL if they believe his actions violated their conduct policy.

This is not the first time that he has gotten into trouble for his actions towards women. He was suspended in 2017 for a fight with an ex-girlfriend.

Also, Elliott and his crew were accused of "unsportsmanlike conduct" at Drai's Nightclub on the Las Vegas Strip in January. At that time , TMZ Sports said that members of Elliott's crew had words with DJ Franzen, who was also at the club.

Elliott is apparently a frequent visitor in Las Vegas. In 2017, he was spotted partying alongside DJ Steve Aoki at Hakkasan Las Vegas.
