Thousands of people had their power go out Wednesday in the city of Milwaukee and its western suburbs.
More than 9,500 We Energies customers lost power late Wednesday afternoon. Most of the outages were based in the Town of Greenvile (3,940 customers without power) and the City of Milwaukee (3,785).
Hundreds of customers also lost power on Milwaukee's north side near Green Bay and Hampton Avenues, and in Elm Grove.
