Report: 'Chicago Fire' Actress DuShon Monique Brown has died

Actress DuShon Monique Brown is dead, according to the Chicago Tribune

The actress most recently played Connie on "Chicago Fire." She played Chief Boden's assistant. 

The Tribune reports Brown died around noon Friday at a Cook County hospital. The cause of death was not confirmed. 

NBC 5 Chicago reports that a letter was sent to the parents of Kenwood Academy High School, where Brown was previously a counselor. 

"The Chicago Fire family is devastated to lose one of its own," said Chicago Fire producer Dick Wolf. "Our thoughts and prayers are with DuShon's family and we will all miss her."

Along with "Chicago Fire," Brown appeared on shows like “Empire,” “Shameless,” “Boss” and “Prison Break."
