There's still no decision if Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke will end up in a President Donald Trump administration.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson interviewed Trump's new chief of staff Reince Priebus about Clarke and Trump's tweets.

Benson: Well, let me put you on the spot: Is Sheriff Clarke going to be the next Secretary of Homeland Security?

Priebus: We haven't decided that yet, Charles.

One week ago Sheriff Clarke was at Trump Tower for an interview with President-elect Trump.

Priebus: He's definitely high on the list and someone we definitely want to be involved in the administration at some level.

Benson: So you do expect Sheriff Clarke will somehow be part of the Trump administration?

Priebus: I think that he's gonna have opportunities.

On taxes and trade, Trump tweeted over the weekend that American companies could face quote retribution or consequence -- if they move jobs or build a plant outside the country and then try sell those products in the U.S.

Benson: I understand the goal here is to try to keep jobs in America but why would Mr. Trump think that would be sound economic policy?

Priebus: We have to take away incentives from companies thatwhere they have an advantage to go overseas and ship jobs overseas. It doesn't mean we're punishing companies. But what it is saying is, look we're gonna do things here in America so that you won't want to leave to go to China or Mexico.

Priebus says that includes lower corporate taxes and better trade agreements.
