MILWAUKEE — One person was injured after a multi-car crash near N. 76th St. and W. Mill Rd. shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Witnesses told TMJ4 the crash was the result of a police chase.

"He went that way, came back around, and went back all the way to Hampton," Tonya, a witness, described.

Moments later, people shopping and working nearby heard a crash. Four vehicles were involved, and a light pole was knocked over.

"There was a lot of smoke. I would’ve thought somebody died just looking at the accident alone," Montreal Dickson, who heard the crash, said.

The Milwaukee Police Department surrounded the area and taped it off for hours.

"When I came out, they were getting something big out his car. It was a gun with a big drum," Tonya recalled.

The Milwaukee Fire Department said one person was taken to Froedtert Hospital.

TMJ4 reached out to Milwaukee Police about what led up to the crash, but has not heard back.

This is a developing story.
