MILWAUKEE — Former Milwaukee Bucks star Jon McGlocklin co-founded the MACC Fund with former Bucks announcer Eddie Doucette. That was December 10, 1976.

Since its inception, the MACC Fund has contributed almost 70 million dollars to researching cures for childhood cancers and related blood disorders. That has translated into an 80 percent cure rate for childhood cancers. The goal is 100 percent.

McGlocklin said one way people can contribute is through the TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC. It's going on now through December 11 at 7:00 p.m.

There are more than 45 items to bid on including a Weber pellet grill, a Bart Starr framed, matted, and autographed jersey, a Masters golf package, and the opportunity to have TMJ4 anchor Vince Vitrano or TMJ4 sports anchor Lance Allan mow your lawn.

Every penny from the auction goes to researching cures.
