MILWAUKEE -- Shoppers will have a new way to get to the new Oak Creek IKEA store starting this Sunday, when MCTS adds a new stop servicing the home goods store to its Purple Line.
The new service to IKEA is part of the 2018 budget passed by County Executive Chris Abele and the Board of Supervisors, according to a news release.
“Providing transit service to IKEA opens up access to jobs and shopping opportunities across the county,” Abele said. “Bus service is all about connecting our residents with the great things Milwaukee County has to offer, so this is an exciting addition for MCTS.”
The "IKEA Way" stop will be the first stop on the line's north run, and the last stop on its south run. In between, the line services 27th St. with stops at Capitol, Center, Wisconsin, and other major thoroughfares.
