WAUKESHA — A woman avoided a potentially bad situation Wednesday night at Target, 1250 W. Sunset Drive, after she reportedly was being followed by a man, according to a report filed with the Waukesha Police Department.
The woman was walking into the store about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday when she mouthed "help" to another shopper in the store after a man was following her and telling her how beautiful she was, police said.
That shopper pretended to know the woman who appeared to be in distress, and invited her into her vehicle so she would be safe, according to the report.
The man saw that and walked back into Target. The woman who called police never saw him come back out.
Police continue to investigate.
