MILWAUKEE — The TODAY'S TMJ4 Community Baby Shower is coming up on Friday, already!

We'll be collecting much needed baby items at any local Sentry Foods store, all for families-in-need in our community. It wouldn't be possible without your help.

Many of you spend months making hand-made items to help others. Lynn Priebe loves to knit and crochet. She's in her happy place when she's making things with her hands.

"It's just so much fun to do, I just love it. My problem is as soon as I see a new shade of yarn, I have to have it, it's one of those things," said Priebe.

Priebe works overnights in the pharmacy at the Milwaukee Veterans Hospital, something she's done for more than 40 years. She laughs that working with her hands, keeps her out of trouble. Even working full-time, Priebe has taken the time to make nearly 150 baby items, things like blankets, hats, even dresses.

Priebe's been making and donating items to the Community Baby Shower for several years already, and begins making items for the next year, as soon as she drops off her items for the current year. She says it just makes her "feel warm inside and feels like somehow or other, I'm passing my love onto them."

You can drop off items to our 18th Community Baby Shower, all day on Friday, Jan. 24, at any local Sentry Foods store or at the TODAY'S TMJ4 studio in Milwaukee. The items donated will stay in the local community.
