MILWAUKEE -- A 55-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car near Milwaukee's Mitchell Park Domes Friday night, according to police.
It happened near W. Evergreen Ln. and S. Layton Blvd just before 7:00 p.m., immediately to the west of the Domes.
The suspect struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old female, was later found and taken into custody.
Milwaukee police say this incident is still under investigation.
