MILWAUKEE — Total melee left four teens and a woman stabbed in Clarke Square Park.

Witnesses say some of the victims had stab wounds to their back and arms. They tell TODAY’S TMJ4 it was all over parents getting in the middle of a teenage fight near 23rd and Mineral Streets.

“The adults got in the fight and five people got stabbed and then somebody over there shot a gun to break up the fight,” said witness John Voit.

Alderman Bob Donovan was puzzled to learn from police that youth and adults were fighting each other.

“An irresponsible parent, but therein lies the problems that Milwaukee is faced with,” Donovan said.

Witnesses say the suspects in custody went to the park armed with a knife trying to stop their child from getting hurt.

The four teen victims are all boys aged 13 to 17-years-old. A 33-year-old woman was also stabbed.

Milwaukee police say a 33-year-old woman and 32-year-old man were arrested. They have not been formally charged.

“You’ve got individuals that can't even parent themselves let alone their children and this is what results,” Donovan said.
