LAKE GENEVA — The "most beautiful home" in Wisconsin recently sold for $7.2 million.
The Royal Oaks Mansion located in Lake Geneva was named the most beautiful home for sale in Wisconsin by Architectural Digest. The home features seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.
According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, the sales price is the highest for a single-family home in southeast Wisconsin so far this year.
The home was initially listed for $11.5 million back in June of 2014. Throughout the years, the price has been dropped with the most recent listing sitting at $8.49 million. According to state real estate findings, $250,000 in personal property value was not included in the total value of the sale.
The Royal Oaks home located on Basswood Drive, sits on 3.28 acres of land and has 214 feet of lakeshore frontage. It also includes a personal boat dock, lakeside pool. five fireplaces, a four car garage and even a guest house with three bedrooms.
