MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin was recently dubbed the most cheese-crazed state by The Daring Kitchen, a food website, by collecting cheese-related Twitter data.
We obviously take great pride in our cheese. Especially since we are dang good at making it.
Wisconsin won 122 awards at the 2019 American Cheese Society Conference in Richmond, Virginia back in August. The next closest was California with 81.
All this being said, we needed to figure out which cheese was Wisconsinite's favorite. So TODAY'S TMJ4 hit the streets to ask people three questions:
- What is your favorite cheese?
- Is there such a thing as too much cheese?
- What is your opinion on cheese in a can?
A thread of cheeses I’ve never heard of.

It helps that Monday, Jan. 20 is also National Cheese Lover's Day.
Watch the video above to learn which kind of cheese is the state's favorite. Also, one guy mentioned something about cheese and ice cream... yeah that really happened.
