MILWAUKEE — We are one week into a new year and it's not too late to pick Wisconsin as a place to raise a family.
According to WalletHub.com, Wisconsin is the seventh-best state to raise a family. The study compares all 50 states and 49 topics such as median family salary, affordable housing and unemployment.
Wisconsin finished with a score of 59.29. The state scored a 5 in "Affordability," its highest ranking in the study. The Badger State also scored an 11 in "Socio-economics," a 16 in "Education and Child Care," a 14 in "Health and Safety," and a 19 in "Family and Fun."
Other findings in the study concluded that Minnesota is the best state to raise a family and New Mexico is the worst state to raise a family.
