The Wisconsin Department of Justice has released the name of a suspect accused of shooting a Kenosha police officer over the weekend.
The DOJ said that Jonathan Massey, 29, is wanted for the shooting of a Kenosha police officer that happened early Saturday morning.
Kenosha police said the shooting happened in the 4600 block of Sheridan Road. Police said the officer was investigating an entry to vehicle complaint at the time he was shot. The officer returned fire and Massey fled the scene.
The officer is in stable condition.
The DOJ says Massey is considered armed and dangerous. He is wanted for attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide. Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities at 262-605-5203 or Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
