After 10 years of business in Milwaukee's downtown Cathedral Square, Whiskey Bar announced it will close its doors early February.
The bar made the announcement in a Facebook post that its last day of business will be Saturday, Feb. 2.
The post mentions that the building will soon become a "multi-story incredible project" that owners hope to be involved with in the upcoming year.
Whiskey Bar has served as a downtown hot spot for its namesake, whiskey, but also for being a prime meeting spot for casual hangouts or upscale celebrations.
According to our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal, the closure comes amid other changes in Cathedral Square. Last year, the popular restaurant Louise's closed its doors, and most recently Mi-Key's closed for regular business hours. Cathedral Square also gained the Taco Bar in October, owned by the same owner as the Dogg Haus and Plum Lounge.
